Anne-Marie Whittaker was born in Guyana. She spent many of her growing-up years in Barbados where she now lives with her husband and two children. Her many careers include secretary, sales representative, businesswoman, publisher and homemaker. But most of all she loves entertaining and cooking - so much so that she has been nicknamed 'The Mighty Entertainer' by her friends.

Anne-Marie is an entrepreneur who has owned and managed a computer store and restaurants as well as successfully completing several publishing projects: however, if you ask anyone about her, the first thing that comes to mind is her cooking and entertaining. Life in the Caribbean is like one big holiday and she is forever being called upon to organize parties and give advice on preparing tasty dishes. She has also developed quite a following for her exotic Caribbean creations - Gourmet Sauces, which are manufactured in Barbados and sold in the United States, England, Canada and the Caribbean under the Native Treasures label.

She believes firmly that in the world of 'Hot and Spicy' cuisine, the Caribbean, with its wide variety of cultures, is second to none.
